Top minority students

LUCILLE Annabelle Latiff of Crescent Girls' School, Shazana Zaihan of Ngee Ann Secondary School and Sarah Raihana Bte Saifuddin of Methodist Girls' School turned in identical scores - seven A1s and one A2 - and emerged as the top three Malay pupils who took the O-levels here last year.

For the Indian students, three of the top four are from India.

Jalla Anisha, 16, from Methodist Girls' School and Kunal Kiran Kekre, 16, from St Joseph's Institution - both scoring eight A1s and one A2 - are permanent residents who have been living in Singapore for more than 10 years.

Another top Indian student, Mohan Jishnu, 16, an Indian scholar who was also from St Joseph's Institute, scored nine A1s.

Rounding up the top four Indian students is Singapore Pratyusha Mukherjee, 16, from Bukit Panjang Government High School.

The two top Eurasian students - both obtained seven A1s - were Hunt Wei Cheung Dean from Nan Chiau High School and Brandon Joshua Thomasz from Victoria school.
